Nasim MAHMUD
Ubiquitous Computing! Social Network! HCI!

I am a PhD student in the Expertise Centre for Digital Media (EDM), a research institute at Hasselt University, Belgium.

My research interest fits in the Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous Computing.

Prior to joining EDM, I studied masters in Interactive Systems Engineering (ISE), in the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV), a joint department between Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden and Stockholm University (SU), Sweden. I have also spent some time working as a researcher(ex-job) in SatPoint AB, Sweden.

For my PhD, I am working on  CoLaSUE:  Context-aware Local Service Fabrics in Large Scale UbiComp Environments  project. Where I am investigating the interaction techniques and probable use of social network in large scale ubiquitous computing environment.

I work with Professor Dr. Karin Coninx and Professor Dr. Kris Luyten.
